Andromeda Botanic Gardens

More than 600 tropical plants cover 6 acres (2.5 hectares) of landscaped grounds at Andromeda Botanic Gardens. From orchids and palms to heliconias and hibiscus, you won’t see a better collection of native and exotic tropical plants.

The gardens were established almost 60 years ago by one of the country’s best regarded horticulturalists, who regularly won prizes at London’s Chelsea Flower Show. A medicinal plant section is being developed by a research team from the University of the West Indies, which hosts educational facilities at the gardens. Pick up a pamphlet to follow the trails winding through the gardens, or take a guided tour to learn more about the many beautiful specimens.
