We really enjoyed the time we spent with our guide Wael. He was very welcoming and gave a great tour and description of the church which was very interesting and answered any questions we had. It was a great place to visit. Recommended!
Visiting the El Mokkatm with Michael was awesome. He is very knowable about this place and gives you a wealth of knowledge about it. There wasnt a question I had that he couldnt answer, and he takes his profession very serious. Especially when he overhears people telling people false information you can see the frustration on his face. Thats someone you want giving you your tours. I also had the pleasure of having him a few times during my four day tour
The Mountain Cave Church was unbelievable! You have to see it in person because pictures can not do it justice. It was well worth the money. We were able to take pictures. Our tour guide Kh Mamdoh let us take our time for pictures and take in the beauty of this amazing church. Kh Mamdoh, also took pictures for us and sent us all the pictures he took with his camera phone. This church should be included in the 7 wonders of the world. Kh Mamdoh was very knowledgeable about the history of the church. Also, when we were finished Kh Mamdoh allowed us to stop at a bridge over the Nile River to take pictures and asked if there were any other place we would like to visit. I would highly recommend taking this tour because it is so worth it. Kh Mamdoh was an excellent tour guide.
I had the pleasure of being guided by an incredibly knowledgeable Egyptologist named Manar. She was a wealth of knowledge. Her and her driver picked me up at my hotel right on time and then we drove through the city to the Cave Church. Manar gave a brief history of religion in Egypt, from nearly the beginning of history and how is progressed and evolved into its current state in Egypt. With Friday being one of the two holy days of the week, there was a lot of people in and around the area, which made for an even better experience imo. Seeing people from all over the country come together for the day to worship and mingle, was pretty cool to see. Manar could not have been any more accommodating, answering all my questions and taking as much time as I desired to explore the area. Truly, a special adventure.
Again my guide is very knowledgeable about this church. I am glad I came to this place on a last minute thought to include this in my itinerary, it touched me to learn some miracles happened here. This is one of the highlights in our trip to Cairo.
A Service. Punctual, friendly, trustworthy and informative. A great guide who is well versed with religious history in Egypt. The perfect tour for those seeking knowledge or want to experience some of the places talked about in the bible. This company also provides high speed wifi on their tours all day for free. Highly recommended!!
