This was the first thing we did when we got to Florence and it was it great. It's a great way to see some of the city, try some amazing food, and meet a few people along the way. It was the right amount of time for us, not too long and not too short.
Our guide did a great job navigating our group through our five food stops, each of which was very well chosen. They ran the gamut from fancy (chocolates) to atmospheric (wine) to somewhat upscale corporate (olive oil) to the oldest sandwich shop in Florence (truffles). She was very well informed on food and local history both. Definitely worth it!
A highlight of our trip. We visited 5 different places and leaned so much about the Italian food, we needed at a wine tasting troop where we enjoyed Prosecco so much we decided to stay for another hour and another glass. Its a nice break from the museums. I would highly recommend.
Nina was AWESOME! The tour description should have said you'll see the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Panthenon! It checked off a lot of on our list, so I was glad we did it out first day in Rome! The food was SO MUCH FUN! We were a small group so it was awesome in the restaurant and the chef was so friendly even though he didn't speak english! Nina translated for us and everything was delicious!! Highly recommend as this was one of our highlights in Rome!
Francesca, our guide, was charming and knowledgeable. She led our small group to some amazing family-run shops where we sampled the best Florence has to offer. Her background in archaeology and history added a lot to the tour as she talked about points of interests on our walk. We highly recommend this interesting and enjoyable walking tour.
A wonderful tour by our guide Linda she showed us the places that you would not know where to go as a tourist . The places and food we went to were owned by small business owners who love what they sell or make or have had in the family for centuries . Linda also explained a lot of the buildings and the history and owners behind them. This gave us a better view of Florence from a local point of view . love it . thank you very much Linda
