Amazing experience to know better Japanese culture and food! I was the only one attending the class and Kazumi was great, explaining me all dishes, Japanese history and ingredients behind every recipe. I would definitely recommend it. Thanks!

Our family went to do this cooking class and had a totally wonderful experience. Firstly the instructors, Hiro and Mia had excellent English, were very knowledgable and could explain everything. In addition they were very patient with the less skilled me. The class was informative and fun with a wonderful dining experience at the end. My wife is an excellent cook and she managed to learn a few secrets about Japanese ingredients, cuisine and cooking. Compared to many things in Japan this was great value for money.
Overall this was a great way to spend an afternoon and I would thoroughly recommend to anyone. Five stars

Small group of nice participants and instructors. However, not enough hands on and a bit disorganised. Charging an additional amount for a glass of Sake that cost 3 time as much a small bottle at the end seemed a bit mean on top of the price.

Keiko runs this fun, intimate cooking class in an impeccable kitchen, and this is a must for the 'foodie' tourist.
My husband and I were with 2 other couples, each with their own cooking station, for a fully hands-on class.
There was great food to cook a seven course meal! , recipes to take home, and personal insights and stories from our hosts What food do Kyoto-ites miss most when they leave Japan? What is everyone's favorite lunch snack? What are the staples on every Kyoto dinner table every night, besides rice?
Keiko's English is wonderful, probably because she's lived in the US before. We all laughed ourselves silly at certain'll love this friendly and fun 3.5 hour class. Come hungry!
If walking as we did take note only the larger intersections Omiya Shijo, for example have English signs, so count your blocks carefully. The school is mid-block in a residential district. The English sign is at eye-level, with one foot letters easy to find once you're on the block.

Great class! The instructors were super friendly and organized. The menu was awesome I've already made many of the dishes since my trip, and I really enjoyed meeting the other students in the class. I would totally do this again!

Our cooking class experience was fantastic. Great instruction and lots if hands on participation. It was also great fun finding cooking sun amongst all the streets without names!

My boyfriend and I were caught up in Kyoto on a very rainy day and this cooking class was a wonderful way to spend a wet day indoors! The cooking class was extremely enjoyable - we did the afternoon class and cooked and ate our way through a four course meal which was absolutely delicious. We are going to try some of these recipes back home in Australia - would definitely recommend this for a fun afternoon.
