The history at Laura was EXTRAORDINARY! Our guide was highly informed and shared in a manner we could all keep up with! Oak Alley was beautiful but the lack of original furnishings and history was lackluster.

Make certain you clarify what your pick up time is with Cajun ahead of time. We were waiting out the front of our hotel for 30 minutes at what we thought was the prescribed time, according to the booking information. I phoned Cajun to check whether they were stuck in traffic... apparently we were the first pick up and the bus came and went 30 minutes prior to the prescribed time. This was the only day we had to do the tour - lucky we booked for the morning. The company were agreeable to pop us on the afternoon tour that day, however we viewed Oak Alley and Whitney instead. That being said the Whitney plantation was fantastic. We learned so much!

Being able to see a part of our past was incredible. The staff at both plantations were friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend to any history buffs.

Our Driver named Allan was FAB..full of information told in a jaunty clever style which made you want to listen to the facts and anecdotes with equal interest.
The coach had problems with the air con and made the journey a little uncomfortable at times, either too hot or too cold.
The Visit to Laura was excellent . Our Guide was very well versed and knowledgable and had a good style of delivery.
Oak Valley was the last stop of the day and was rushed...not sure if we were late arriving, but felt that the guides wanted to go home.
All in all a very pleasant afternoon and good value for money.......would recommend it .

Bus ride was unpleasant. Very cold, music too loud. The actual tours were great.

A wonderful experience, however felt we were rushed and too many people on our tour of Oak Alley. Guide was excellent on Laura Plantation.

This was a great trip I would recommend to anyone. Lot's of great history. If you do the 2 plantation tour seems you get shorted on time for the second location. The trip was great right up til the end when we where getting back close to the hotels and there was traffic problems and the driver left the bus and was gone for 20 or 30 minutes leaving us sitting in the street. Everybody finally got tired of waiting and we all got off the bus and walked back, never saw the driver again.

I appreciated that they accommodated our need for a different pick up site. Was very impressed with the guides at each house. You could tell they were passionate about the history and saving the stores of. These houses.

Both the Oak Alley and Laura Plantation tours were very scripted with large groups in each tour, however, taking this tour was a lot more cost effective than trying to drive and book on our own. Both locations can't be toured without being in official group.

Mint Juleps at Oak Alley are delicious and STRONG. Oak Alley is much more spectacular and what you would envision a plantation to be like than Laura. Bring mosquito repellent for Laura Plantation since a big chunk of the tour is outside. Both plantations are definitely worth seeing, it's just a shame that the tours on-site aren't better.
