Our guide, Fransico, was fantastic and knowledgeable. Coba was amazing, I learnt so much . We rented the rickshaw, which was really nice, so we could take pics while we were driven. It was especially nice to not have to get on a bike and paddle back after climbing up and down the pyramid in the hot sun.
1. Bring your own towel for the cenote swim.
2. Bring Pesos if you are going to buy souvenirs in Coba. BUT I found our hotel gift shop had a lot of the same things, for less.
Everything about this tour was 5/5, until the very end. we went to a beach at the end where we could have pre-booked snorkeling, two of our group had done that. The rest of us had to wait at the beach. The seagrass is so bad that it leaves a smell So many boats coming in and out you can not swim right there Further down you could swim, but it was all locals so no one to watch our stuff while we swam, so we did not feel comfortable swimming. The beach chairs could be rented for a cost. There was a small bar, BUT to use the bathrooms there was a cost in pesos, and the toilets did not have seats. By this point were were tired and our feet sore, so we went and sat in the van and just waited to go home.
The tour was confirmed the afternoon before, and they came at a reasonable time to pick us up the morning of.
Our driver was friendly and courteous. Sergio, our tour guide, was awesome. He provided a lot of information of not just the ruins, but the connection between the historical sites. He gave us with enough time to explore and take pictures, and at no time did we feel rushed. He always made sure that everyone was looked after, from waiting for the group to gather, to providing us with cool drinks in between site. He even provided bug spray to those who needed it.
Thank you Sergio for making this a memorable one for us!
Amazing tour! Especially if you can get to Tulum before the madness, which we did and it was worth it! We beat a lot of the crowd and some of the heat.
While visiting Coba, I'd advise you rent the bikes. Not only does it make your journey through the park easier and faster, it's also a good exercise. Plus, the park is fairly big and if you're on a timed journey, you'll want to spend more time sightseeing than walking. Bike rentals are about 3.
Our guide was gerrardo, and I have absolutely nothing to say but that he was great.
speak numerous languages, and is very helpful.
when you look at other guides, from other agencies, whenever you run into them, or whenever you stop to eat and get to see the other groups, well you clearly see the difference
he s been amazing.
Our guide was incredible, the food at the buffet restaurant was the best we had on our trip which we were all shocked by, and we feel like it was the best 90 we'd spent in a long time. We had 12 people, so got a private tour and bus - thank you for making that happen for us!
The tour is great! In one day, you get to see Tulum, Playa Paradiso, one cenote, Coba ruins. Plus snorkeling and lunch! Orlando and Sergio our tour guides were knowledgeable and funny. The group has a small size, keeping the whole experience very cozy and friendly. I would recommend this tour.
This was a very well coordinated tour with a small group which was my preference. Carmen, our guide was very knowledgeable about the places that we visited. She was very good with the initial icebreaker to help everyone on the tour get to know each other. The places that we visited have a wealth of history and Carmen is like an encyclopedia of information about the Mayan culture as a whole.
Cesar, our driver was a really nice person as well. He kept us on track ensuring that we got to all of our destinations in a timely manner. I highly recommend this tour. My husband and I enjoyed Carmen's wealth of knowledge so much that we plan on taking this company's tour to Chichen Itza when we return next year!
