It was a good time. The driver was excellent (minus the multiple mentions of Trump and the wines he liked) and I felt he did a great job of giving a tour of the area while we drove. He pointed out several vineyards and what they were known for. Lunch was the quickest hour ever (the only part that did not excite me) and we did not get time to walk around and shop. (and the driver actually gave us extra time). I've done several wine tours and while this one was not the best from an education stand point, it was still fun.

This tour was great. As a beginner it gave us the opportunity to explore the sights and wineries of Wine Country all whole relaxing on a luxury bus. Patrick our guide was wonderful! He provided wonderful commentary on sights and history and his food recommendations in the square were spot on. Plus I loved the fact that we were picked up and dropped off right at our hotel door.

This tour was amazing. Our Bus Driver/Tour Guide was excellent, Danillo from Honduras. He was very informative throughout the whole tour. We enjoyed all the wineries except for the Mario Andretti Winery. Our favorite was Cline Winery. Our stop for lunch was perfect with different selections of places to eat. I would highly recommend this tour.

This tour was very well organized and coordinated. The shuttle picked us up at our hotel and took us to the meeting point by the bay. Once we boarded the tour bus Silvio, our tour guide provided us with very good information of areas we toured. It was a long day, therefore, I recommend wearing comfortable shoes as you get on and off the bus to visit the different wineries. There is opportunity for wine tasting, a little shopping and taking pictures. We really enjoyed this trip! Highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Napa and Sonoma for the first time!

Quite possibly the worst vacation experience I've ever had. The trip started off bad the day before we left. I had four missed calls, all in quick succession with no voicemail. I call the number back and the woman on the other line was calling to confirm our wine tour. She kept repeating, 'the bus will pick you up at 8:10 am. She repeated it four times, like I was either stupid or hard of hearing. So I assumed the bus would show up at EXACTLY 8:10am. Wrong. The front desk and Viator call us at 7:55 to tell us the bus is waiting for us, 15 minutes early. We rush downstairs only to be packed on a tiny van. The van driver spent the entire time complaining about San Francisco and how he hated people. When we would arrive at a pick up location he would exclaim They better be ready! Not a good way to start the trip.
When we arrived Viator we were herded into a line and told to have our print out ready or our email confirmation on our phones. After that we had to stand outside, in the cold, around the corner to wait for the bus. Once we finally boarded the bus, every seat was full. They packed that bus as much as they possibly could. Understandable but it didn't make for a very comfortable hour plus bus ride. The tour guide was a complete joke. I could not understand a word he said as he had a VERY thick accent. Plus, the speaker on the back of the bus was busted so we had to listen to a busted speaker the entire time. I eventually stuck my earbuds in and listened to music, missing the entire commentary.
Once we arrived at our first winery, I was immediately disappointed. the winery is on the side of a highway, no nice views of vineyards or anything. They spent the entire time trying to sell us bad wine while everyone pushed and shoved to get their tastings.
The second winery was gorgeous but it was Sutter Home. You know, the mass produced wines you don't want to drink. The first tasting was White Zinfandel. Needless to say, it was gross and no one left with a bottle. I kept waiting to arrive at the Franzia factory after that.
We stopped briefly at the famous Napa Wine sign and took pictures. We were all waiting in line for our turn and this woman takes it upon herself to turn it into her own personal photo shoot, making obscene gestures the entire time. I was so embarrassed for this woman's husband. Some of the other passengers made faces and turned their heads with disgust.
Then, it was lunch time and this was the part that made me the most disappointed. We arrive at this beautiful, quaint town square for an hour. That's it. One single hour. My husband and I went to lunch and had to inhale our food so we could get back on the bus. We of course were on time but had to wait on several people who were late. Once we were finally on our journey to the last winery I actually looked at what it would cost to get an Uber back to the city, it was that bad.
The final winery was another mass produced and crowded winery. We even drove past several nicer wineries and the tour guide kept talking about how cool and unique the other wineries were but we would not be going to those. Also, there was a group of young girls there that were more interested in taking selfies than they were learning about and tasting wine. It was brutal. I was so glad to be off that bus. We even asked our tour guide to drop us off at the first place he could in San Francisco. We were more than happy to pay for an Uber back to our hotel, just to get off that bus.

We had a great time on our tour, starting with a hotel pickup - so convenient! The driver was exceptional - driving was smooth and he could talk about the sites and share his perspective about the sites along the way. The 3 Wineries that were selected for us gave a good cross section small organic, through to large industrial size production. Nice lunchtime destination too.
